Go after more long tail and less competitive search terms if your website is too small to compete with the websites in the search results. If you only do a little SEO once in a while, then you need to adjust your expectations on how much organic traffic you can expect from search engines. Websites that are constantly improving their code, publishing valuable content, and earning backlinks and social share activity are building a larger arsenal than sites that are not engaging in SEO. Billions of searches are performed each month. Knowing how users search and choose results will help you create a strategy that caters to these trends. At the heart of it, keyword clustering is what it sounds like: you are taking relevant keywords and clustering them together into groups.

Why local link building?

Essentially, try to keep in mind that Google no longer works by trying to match the search terms exactly in your content. You can see this yourself when you search Google. Search ‘eat yellow bananas’ and many of the results that come up won’t actually include those precise words! SEO is important for every website that wants to attract traffic. SEO for non-profits, in that regard, isn’t that different from SEO for other businesses. Make sure your website is indexed in search engines

User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. Maybe blogs aren’t what you need right now. Maybe you should consider some long-form, evergreen content instead. Maybe we should get your user interface updated before we start delving into link building. An early part of the SEO brainstorming process is identifying the great places to get links, as well as the types of content you might want to develop to encourage linking from other quality websites.

Avoid unrelated article directories and poor quality guest-posts

Internal linking is one of the few methods we can use to tell Google (and visitors) that a particular page of content is important. So how should you go about linking internally to other pages of your website?2 Consider dropping a link back to your main website in any other websites you may be running. Using one business platform to increase exposure for another is just a good idea, even if you don’t happen to be getting much traffic at those other websites. Google has access to all this incredible data about where people go on the Internet through Chrome and through Android. Not all Google searches lead to sales

You can create content to target keyword phrases that are (informational searches) in the research or consideration funnel stage. SEO is about providing value, not tricking search engines into ranking you higher. Bold and italics can make your keywords stand out more with the search engines. Google is getting better every day at recognizing—and rewarding—high-quality content. As defined by Google and humans, valuable content is useful, informative, better than other content on the same topic, credible, original, and engaging.
